The Oxford City Stars are pleased to secure the services of 17 Year Old Forward, Harry Tempest, who joins the club for the 24/25 season from the Basingstoke Buffalo.
Harry becomes the youngest player signed for the Stars so far this season and joins the youthful Stars roster and had this to say:
“Hey Stars fans,
I am very happy to be signing with Oxford City Stars for the upcoming season and can’t wait to get started with a great group of guys. It will be a pleasure to work alongside Mark, a coach I’ve known since my first under 10’s match. Look forward to seeing some of you around the rink.
Let’s go Stars”
Harry rose through the ranks at Basingstoke and earned himself a spot in the Buffalo roster last season playing 21 games in their playoff winning campaign, and now makes the step up to NIHL1 with the Stars as well as the Stars U-18s
Coach Saunders remarked:
“Adding a young player of Harry’s ability to our group is always an exciting prospect, he’s a very big player in his stature and personality and he’s keen to cut his teeth at this level.
He’s impressed in practices so far and from speaking with him and knowing him from previous seasons, he’s the perfect young player we are looking to develop and guide through into senior hockey at Oxford.”
He will be icing for the Stars in the #44 Jersey this season
